According to the height of the equipment and the swimming pool, the advantages, disadvantages and precautions of three common installation scenarios are analyzed to help you avoid pitfalls scientifically!
1. Swimming pool circulation filtration system
Scenario 1: The equipment is higher than the swimming pool, the first choice for flexible transformation
Applicable scenarios: Renovation of old swimming pools, equipment needs to be installed later
When the circulation filtration equipment is installed above the swimming pool (such as on the roof or high platform), the biggest advantage is that it saves space and is easy to maintain.
But please note:
1. A command valve must be installed: to prevent water from flowing back into the swimming pool during shutdown, causing the water pump to run idle and damage;
2. Manual water injection before starting: The water inlet pipe must be filled with water for the first operation to avoid dry pumping of the water pump;
3. Check the sealing regularly: Under high differential pressure, the pipe interface is prone to leakage, and the sealing treatment needs to be strengthened.
Suitable for people: Renovation projects that need to be "adapted to local conditions" due to site restrictions, but have high requirements for daily maintenance.
Scenario 2: The equipment and the swimming pool are on the same plane, a worry-free and labor-saving balanced solution
Applicable scenarios: New swimming pools, equipment rooms and swimming pools are planned synchronously
When the equipment and the swimming pool are at the same level, the water pump has the smallest water suction resistance, relatively low energy consumption, and can reduce the risk of idling.
But please note:
1. Low water level protection: When the water level of the swimming pool drops, it is necessary to ensure that the control valve is closed normally to prevent water backflow;
2. Anti-freeze and moisture-proof design: Ground equipment must be well drained and insulated to avoid water accumulation in the rainy season or freezing and cracking in winter;
3. Reserve maintenance space: Equipment needs to be installed flat to leave enough operating channels for later maintenance.
Suitable for people: New swimming pools that pursue stable operation are recommended to be used with automatic water replenishment systems.
Scenario 3: The equipment is lower than the swimming pool, an efficient and stable professional choice
Applicable scenarios: underground equipment room, large commercial swimming pool
When the equipment is installed under the swimming pool, the water can flow naturally into the water pump, greatly reducing the starting load, which is especially suitable for large flow circulation systems.
But please note:
1. Strictly prevent the "water hammer effect": the water flow impact at the moment of shutdown is easy to damage the pipeline, and a buffer valve or water hammer eliminator needs to be installed;
2. Double waterproof design: The underground space needs to be well protected from moisture and emergency drainage to avoid flooding accidents;
3. Clean the filter regularly: impurities are easy to deposit under the action of natural gravity, and the filter cleaning cycle needs to be shortened.
Suitable for people: venues with high requirements for filtration efficiency, such as hotels, gyms and swimming pools, but the installation cost is relatively high.
